The Center on Rural Innovation (CORI) supports rural communities by helping them develop a strategy for building the five direct drivers of a successful digital economy ecosystem
(DEE): scalable tech entrepreneurship support and incubation, access to capital, digital workforce development, access to digital jobs, and tech culture building in the community. In the first phase of an engagement, CORI works with community leaders to assess the current state of the community’s digital ecosystem and inform a strategic path forward. In
the second phase, CORI and community leaders together develop a digital strategy for implementing the direct drivers. The third phase includes support from CORI as community leaders apply for federal or other funding to drive their strategy towards building a thriving digital economy.
